• Our Story

Since 1984, the principals of VedaloHD® Performance Eyewear have been in the business of successfully interpreting new fashion, styles and trends in the eyewear industry. It would be nearly twenty years later that these principals were lucky enough to be introduced to the 1st true sunglass lens innovation the industry has had since polarization was invented over 70 years ago. The technology was forged in Italy.

    Circa 2003- Parma, Italy

Dr. Graziano Marusi of Intercast Europe finalizes his masterpiece by creating the first true High Definition sunglass lens….he calls it Sinter®Cast XP. Pilots will soon be the first group to benefit from this breakthrough technology.

    - Minneapolis, Minnesota

Daniel Jacobs is authorized to become the exclusive distributor of the Sinter®Cast XP technology in North America. The technology is called HDL-3C® which stands for High Definition Lens advocating increased Color, Comfort and Clarity.

    - Long Beach, California

The propreitary HDL-3C is introduced to North America at the AOPA Convention in Long Beach, California. There is suddenly a line waiting to try on this new sun filtering science before noon on the first day. They call the line COLOREYES® as it is the first lens to greatly increase the eyes’ ability to see the entire color spectrum.

    U.S.A and Canada

Pilots begin to clamor for COLOREYES® as many of their styles feature thin, beta-titanium frames perfect for maximum headset comfort. More unique, however, is the HDL-3C® lens technology that not only greatly improves visual acuity outside the cockpit, but inside as well. With MFDs (Multi-function displays) and LCD screens becoming the standard instrumentation inside the cockpit, the non-polarized, color enhancing High Definition lenses are without a doubt, the best lenses for inside the 21st century cockpit as well. COLOREYES® becomes the premier sunglass for the discerning pilot.

    - Salinas, California

“I promise you COLOREYES® sunglasses are the best.” These are the words of Sean D. Tucker, an aerobatic pilot, the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum has named one of the “25 Living Legends of Flight”. Sean D. heads up Team Oracle and becomes one of COLOREYES® biggest fans calling them “comfort for his eyes”. Many other famed aerobatic pilots, including Patty Wagstaff, Michael Goulian, Bob Hoover, Ed Hamill, Mike Mancuso, Steve & Suzanne Oliver, Skip Stewart, Jim Pietz, Rob Holland, Mike Wiskus, Frank Chenevert, Paul Lopez and Erica Hoagland begin to catch wind as well. They all love COLOREYES®. What is their one gripe? As one aerobat put it, “if you are going to have the coolest lenses, why not come up with a cooler name than COLOREYES®.”

    July 2007- Oshkosh, Wisconsin

The VedaloHD® name is officially introduced to aviation at the 2007 EAA Air Venture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The name loosely translates in Italian to “it sees it in HD” and the reaction is nearly 100% positive to the new name and identity created.

    November 2007- Plymouth, Minnesota

The complete VedaloHD® Performance Line hits North America.

    December 2007- Orlando, Florida

VedaloHD® introduces itself to the racing industry at the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show. Armed with a one-of-a-kind 1941 Willy’s Mod Jet Car and its “Pilot” Elaine Larsen, VedaloHD® sunglasses make a huge splash gaining the immediate attention of the racing industry. VedaloHD® also becomes the official 2008 eyewear of the NMRA (National Mustang Racing Association) and NMCA (National Muscle Car Association).

    January 2008- Orlando, Florida

VedaloHD® technology is officially introduced to the Golf Industry at the 2008 PGA Show. An association is forged with AMF Golf Management to introduce our lens technology through their membership.

    February 2008- Las Vegas, Nevada

VedaloHD will officially introduce their revolutionary lens science to hunters and shooters at the SHOT Show. Pheasant’s Forever states that “this breakthrough technology introduces hunters to the new world of high definition hunting. VedaloHD® is a product our members can trust and look forward to hunting with.”

    St. Paul, Minnesota

The HDL-3C® lens technology gets the endorsement of Pheasant’s Forever, one of the 3 largest hunting organizations in the U.S. Hunters begin to take note at the 2008 Pheasant Fest in St. Paul, MN.
